Whats been happening with the Wood crew...

(HUGE blog warning..)

Well I am either all or nothing lately with blogging! I get overwhelmed because so much is going on and Nick takes SO many cute photos that I want to show everything and end up doing nothing . Go figure.

There goes the Neighborhood..

So the latest news for the Harts is that all of my brothers and sisters are buying new homes! My brother Chris and sister Sarah are moving their families out of our neighborhood. Which is sad, but they are both still going to be in West Kaysville – on to bigger and better things I guess. BUT cool news is my little brother Nick and his wife Erica bought the house next door! It is a darling house and we are so excited for them to get their first place and to have them so close. Hee hee hee our little plan worked…they are stuck with us Woods now….mwaaahhh.

Every year when Spring/Summer comes I love to spend time in my yard. I am so grateful that Nick and I are in a home that we love. We are not going anywhere!! Last year I didn’t do anything in my garden (I was a little busy having JackJack) So this year I actually planted a few flowers and have really been enjoying our yard. We have a little robin family that made a nest right outside our front window. Jackson loves the “bird-as”.

GRADUATION

I could not be more proud of my college grad. It has been a long road for both of us. We have been working and going to school through our entire marriage. It is insane to imagine life with out tests, papers, homework…Weirdness. Nick has especially had to work so hard. I got to work hard learning about art history and painting (which I love). He had to study business finance while working full time. He has worked so hard for our family, and he is a great example for Jackson. We are so proud of you Papa Bear – and love you SO much!

Three Wood generations! I am so glad that Nick can be a good example to Jackson like his his dad was to him.

Easter

This feels like forever ago. We had a great Easter. My parents have an amazing yard and every year they have a big Easter egg hunt for all the kids. We had a delicious dinner and plenty of goodies for everyone to get sugared up on. My mom and dad spoil us all so much. They got all kinds of candy, clothes and toys for the kids. And some serious See’s Easter chocolates for the grown ups. Nick and I had a fun little Easter for Jacks at home too. He got bubbles, plastic eggs, toys and some great childrens books (my very favorite thing to buy:)).

Goodbye winter & the only thing I will miss…

So I made it through my first winter at home. I’m not going to lie; it was rough I had cabin fever and some serious sunlight deficiency. I am SO SO SO happy for spring to be here. The things that make living in conditions like this worth it are my boys, Jayjoemonkeybugs, Nick, and Trubs. AND of course being able to get up in the mountains.

I was actually able to do a decent amount of snowboarding this season. I even went 3 times in one week! Who does that? I think I am just making up for lost time not being able to go at all last season being preggers. SnowBasin is my all time favorite but I got past my stereotype of Wolf Mountain and really decided that it’s awesome. You can’t beat the price. Holy Schmoly. We did some great night skiing – I think it’s the biggest for night in Utah? There are some really awesome parks there too! Great rails and such. I am definitely going to go back.

Canyons Flashback!
Okay I totally can't resist this! It is one of my all time favorite memories spending every Saturday at the Canyons with our crazy group of girls! I miss it so much. I love how rough and tumble all my girls were. We were not scared to hurt ourselves were we? I wish we would have documented all our injuries. I love you guys.

The log was the best! That was the funnest day!

Will we ever do this all together again? Oh I can dream.....

Alicia and Bobby's Wedding

Alicia and Bobby’s wedding turned out so awesome! They got a beautiful room in the Joseph Smith Memorial Building that fit perfectly with an intimate wedding and dinner. She of course looked gorgeous – they are such cute couple. Alicia is such a babe I loved her dress and hair and etc. I can’t believe what a beautiful bride she was. Love you Leeshies!

It was very small so don't feel bad if you weren't there. Jamie and I had a great time being the bridesmaids and Nick took the photos. Amanda did the flowers and cake – which looked SO cute. I helped a tiny bit with the flowers (bridesmaids bouquets). I have so many photos I thought I would post a handful. Keep in mind they haven’t all been “fixed up’ yet in terms of lighting and etc.

My Valentines

Okay I have to say that this is one of the best Valentines Day ever. I have never had TWO valentines before! Nick is officially the most adorable husband in the world. He had me sleep late that morning while he and Jacks surprised me with a waffle, hot chocolate breakfast. They brought new vday slippers up to me and me come down stairs to flowers, valentines, and a super cute chocolate/pink breakfast. Jacks got me a card and put his handprints in it and everything. It was so sweet. I have had fancy gifts and dates before – but honestly nothing beats this. Little special things mean more to me than anything money can buy. It was totally priceless.

We did have a fun night out planned that didn’t quite work out….I was so pumped. I must talk about the Melting Pot a lot because I have two gift cards to go eat there from Nick & Erica and Chris & Bethany (looks like my little plan worked - hee hee hee). The only problem is I only tried to get reservations two weeks in advance and apparently that isn’t enough time!?!? So we are going to try next week or something. Oh well like I said we really didn’t even need to go anywhere!

We spent the day together and took some photos of me with my two valentines. It was great. Jacks wanted to go see Grandma Debbie so he got her some flowers and surprised her. So we got to see Shawnee and cousin Addalie too. We did discover the first signs of Jayjoe not wanting to share…he totally yelled at Addalie for picking up one of his toys…so it begins…

Can you believe Nick did something this cute all by himself? I was quite a lot of sugar for me but I did my best - and it was yummers

Just out of bed! Isn't this shirt the best? So appropriate for valentines day. My sister in law Erica got it for me for Christmas - and one for herself (since we both love Nicks!). I should wear it every year!

I felt so spoiled! Special slippies and everything

We had some friends over the other day and I was really into taking photos of Jayjoe with his buddies. I was so into getting pics of the bubbers I didn't really remember many of the adults. I need to focus!

Bright Eyes

When people see Jacks the first comment is usually “Wow look at those big pretty eyes!” He has always been very aware of everything going on around him and just really connects with people – looking right at them and smiling with his big eyes. Nick has amazing gray/blue eyes and before I had Jacks I was totally picturing him having the same beautiful eyes – but now I would never trade them for anything!

It has been hard to figure out the color (I’ve been asked about it a lot...) Right now they are kind of a steel/green/brown color. At my last doctor appointment he said that he thinks they are going green because that’s how they look before they turn green – and green eyes take the longest to set in. I had hazel eyes as a little girl which have gotten more and more green as I got older. It’s a Hart thing I guess. I adore every little thing about Jayjoe but I am such a sucker when he looks up at me with those eyes. He is my little Baby Bright Eyes

Hanging out at Grandmas

I know some of you can appreciate this kick butt shirt! Michelle from Nick's office got it for us -isn't it awesome?! Now we need to train him to "bicycle boogey" to Send Me and Angel! Oh I thats a great movie...
