Oh the joys of pregnancy! Don't let Nick's photos fool you, this is how I feel.
I can't believe I have not written more about this! We are getting ready to have our 2nd little boy. In about 3 weeks actually! I am due March 23rd. This pregnancy has flown by! That isn't to say it has been super easy, but it has gone by so much faster than my first. I guess I am much more distracted with my Jackson this time around.
During my first pregnancy I was in my last semester of school and doing my Bachelor of Fine Arts program at Weber. This included building up a body of work for my final thesis show in the Gallery. I was also working down town the Law Office. I read all about pregnancy, got my nursery together, had baby showers, and gathered all the baby necessities I would be needing! I remember being completely preoccupied with the fact that there was a baby on the way. I had my art show and graduated at about 8 months pregnant, then paced around anxiously waiting for my sweet little baby!
This time around I have been home with Jackson, did some traveling, and tried to actually do some decent working out. Since we are having another boy, there really hasn't been too many things that I need. It has been fun to go through all of Jack's old shoes, and clothes and get excited to use them again. I felt very yucky at first, and have noticed many more aches and pains this time around! I feel like I am 100 yrs old! My back aches, my legs hurt, and I am exhausted! I have also felt more up and down with my moods. And my pregnancies really aren't even all that bad. Heaven help the girls that really suffer! My weight gain hasn't varied too much from last time, but I was ravenously hungry this time! Also this little guy is so wiggly! I cannot believe the big movements he makes. It looks like he is trying to break out of my tummy! It was really fun before it started to hurt - this kid packs a powerful punch! Like last time, I am very ready to be done and have my little guy already. I think the last bit is the hardest for me!

My
5 month belly-shoot by the wonderfully-talented Nicholas Wood

I have many things of Jack's I will be using but went and got some special things for our new baby Wood. A new coming home outfit, owl hat, blankie and the like...

My mom also made the most ADORABLE blanket. She has outdone herself with this one!
At 8.5 Months...

More belly-shoots! I was a bit more apprehensive about photos this pregnancy. We had meant to get one every month but that didn't quite happen. There are many more from this shoot but I will just post a couple. In fact I may get in trouble for posting these since Nick hasn't gone through and done his special editing yet...

I cannot wait to meet this bubby, it is like Christmas. I know I can't even imagine how amazing he will be and just how much I will love him. It is so exciting thinking: What will he look like, maybe like Jack - or completely different? What will his personality be like? What name will we actually agree on? The before part is so surreal. It is just weird because I know that after you add a child into your home you simply cannot imagine life without them, or not knowing them. It is unlike anything else. I believe that you know your children already, and you love them already. Then you finally get them straight from heaven and it feels like "oh yeah, there you are. I know you." It is remembering that they have been with you in some way all along, and you have loved them since before you were even born yourself. - --A little deep but completely, and confusingly how I would describe it. I feel so blessed and honored to receive a gift as miraculous as a child. I just hope I can do everything in the world to be worthy of receiving something so precious. I love you already little guy!
