Last Fall.....

Well like many of you, I get in and out of Blog-mode. I found some photos from last fall that I never posted and being mega pregnant and tired today gives me a perfect excuse to do some catching up :)

LAGOON BIRTHDAY!
My family likes to make it to Lagoon every year and my birthday usually seems to be perfect timing. Jack is in heaven with all the rides and his cousins.

He loved riding the Roller Coaster with Daddy.

My mom made the most insanely delicious pumpkin cupcakes! A new favorite!

Happy Birthday to Me...

I had a great birthday this year. Everyone was so sweet to me! Nick brought me home cupcakes from my new favorite shop The Sweet Tooth Fairy. We went out on a date, I got to go out with the girls, and my family did so many awesome things for me. I am one lucky girl :)

Eating cupcakes fr0m daddy!

Erica sent me the cutest package in the mail - the most adorable yellow vintage earrings from Etsy! Sarah and Bethany showed up the morning of my birthday with gifts and balloons. I even got a couple birthday voicemails of Happy Birthday singing!

Jack and I met my mom, Chris and Nick downtown for lunch at the Spaghetti Factory .

da na na T H R I L L E R!!

Me, leesh and Jamie went to Thriller! We had so much fun - I love to go see that show every year or two. I always have a blast. Afterward we went and got a chocolate pot at The Melting Pot. We were so silly and giggly it was ridiculous! I always have so much out with the girls! These pics are SO bad! As you can see, I do not share Nick's photography skills, but I think the photos reflect our craziness anyway haha!

We are weird.

Annual Monster Show at

The Blonde Grizzly

This art show is one of my favorites to participate in. It is always so much fun. I love how all the different paintings turn out. There are so many good artist there. It also totally gives me an excuse to do something weird. Love. Love.

My Circus of Horrors painting. I have actually had this image in my head for a L O N G time, it was great to finally paint it.

just a random cute pic of My little Dude..

Pumpkin Carving

We carved some good pumpkins! I feel bad I never did get a good photo of Jack in his costume, he was Spiderman and was super into it! He got to go to school all dressed up and had me a little worried because he kept telling me the super heros that the other kids were going to come as and how he was going to "destroy and defeat them!" I was a little apprehensive dropping him off, but I never heard about any injuries...

Fishing with the Flannerys

We went to a cool fish farm in N. Ogden with the Flannerys. Their little boys are seriously so adorable and Jack thinks Killian (who is a year older) is just about the coolest kid in the world. We had a great time. I wish I could remember the name of the place..it was so much fun, we will be going back there for sure!

Getting ready for BABY!

Oh the joys of pregnancy! Don't let Nick's photos fool you, this is how I feel.

I can't believe I have not written more about this! We are getting ready to have our 2nd little boy. In about 3 weeks actually! I am due March 23rd. This pregnancy has flown by! That isn't to say it has been super easy, but it has gone by so much faster than my first. I guess I am much more distracted with my Jackson this time around.

During my first pregnancy I was in my last semester of school and doing my Bachelor of Fine Arts program at Weber. This included building up a body of work for my final thesis show in the Gallery. I was also working down town the Law Office. I read all about pregnancy, got my nursery together, had baby showers, and gathered all the baby necessities I would be needing! I remember being completely preoccupied with the fact that there was a baby on the way. I had my art show and graduated at about 8 months pregnant, then paced around anxiously waiting for my sweet little baby!

This time around I have been home with Jackson, did some traveling, and tried to actually do some decent working out. Since we are having another boy, there really hasn't been too many things that I need. It has been fun to go through all of Jack's old shoes, and clothes and get excited to use them again. I felt very yucky at first, and have noticed many more aches and pains this time around! I feel like I am 100 yrs old! My back aches, my legs hurt, and I am exhausted! I have also felt more up and down with my moods. And my pregnancies really aren't even all that bad. Heaven help the girls that really suffer! My weight gain hasn't varied too much from last time, but I was ravenously hungry this time! Also this little guy is so wiggly! I cannot believe the big movements he makes. It looks like he is trying to break out of my tummy! It was really fun before it started to hurt - this kid packs a powerful punch! Like last time, I am very ready to be done and have my little guy already. I think the last bit is the hardest for me!

My 5 month belly-shoot by the wonderfully-talented Nicholas Wood

I have many things of Jack's I will be using but went and got some special things for our new baby Wood. A new coming home outfit, owl hat, blankie and the like...

My mom also made the most ADORABLE blanket. She has outdone herself with this one!

At 8.5 Months...

More belly-shoots! I was a bit more apprehensive about photos this pregnancy. We had meant to get one every month but that didn't quite happen. There are many more from this shoot but I will just post a couple. In fact I may get in trouble for posting these since Nick hasn't gone through and done his special editing yet...

I cannot wait to meet this bubby, it is like Christmas. I know I can't even imagine how amazing he will be and just how much I will love him. It is so exciting thinking: What will he look like, maybe like Jack - or completely different? What will his personality be like? What name will we actually agree on? The before part is so surreal. It is just weird because I know that after you add a child into your home you simply cannot imagine life without them, or not knowing them. It is unlike anything else. I believe that you know your children already, and you love them already. Then you finally get them straight from heaven and it feels like "oh yeah, there you are. I know you." It is remembering that they have been with you in some way all along, and you have loved them since before you were even born yourself. - --A little deep but completely, and confusingly how I would describe it. I feel so blessed and honored to receive a gift as miraculous as a child. I just hope I can do everything in the world to be worthy of receiving something so precious. I love you already little guy!

Big Brother

Nothing could possibly beat looking at this little guy asleep in his bed.

I have been thinking a lot about getting Jack ready for a new baby. He has been so sweet about the whole idea of being a big brother. He keeps saying how he is going to teach the baby how to do this and that. He also says he wants to share his bed and his blankets with him. I guess we will see about that when the baby actually gets here! The gap is a little big between the boys, but I can't imagine trading that time I have had with Jackson for anything. I have enjoyed him so much.

I have to admit too, I have been feeling worried and guilty about the big change of Jack going from being an only child to a big brother! It is hard to even imagine. But I have to remind myself that I'm giving him something far more special than anything I could be taking away. Getting a sibling is just about the best gift in the world I could ever give to him, I know I feel that way about my siblings. I have been a little fixated on the big change of it all. I also think it is hard to comprehend having another baby, I feel like my heart is so full already...how can there be room for more? But I know that my heart will just be a'growin'! I don't think I will quite understand it all until I get there.
