Summer Things I Missed

We had such a great summer I would feel bad if I forgot to blog about it. We went to the Bear Lake house 9-10 times!! We spent as much time as possible there. Jackson loves it so much and got so used to go going that he would say "go to Idaho now" and "way to go IDAHO!" in fact he is still asking to go to Idaho. It was so easy for Nick and I to hop into the car and go, especially since Jack is at a easy age - it was too good to pass up.

He LOVES going on the 4 wheeler, he even likes the "space balls" helmet I make him wear.

The old Badger is still kicking after all the years of abuse. This is us going down the "Wee haw hill".

One of the last weekends of the summer all the adults took a big 4 wheeler ride up Bloomington Canyon. It was quite the adventure!

Our one and only trip to Bloomington lake this year. We went in June and there was a sheet of ice over the top! In all my many years I have never seen it like that before.

LA Art Show

MR BILL MURRAY a tribute to the legend.

I am so excited to have been part of this show. The idea was genius and about a million people agree with me..It was a huge success. We have grown up with Murray and he really just becomes more and more interesting with each role he plays. I LOVE him. I hope that he proud that his work means something to people - AND has inspired more creativity. What is more profound than that? He is a part of pop culture that people have really responed to.

Bill Murray was invited to the show on the news but we weren't lucky enough to see him. There was a camera crew there filming the event and some actors/actresses. The show was written up in The Huffington Post? as "the thing to do in LA" that Friday night. It would be cool to know what he thinks about everything.

I wish I could take credit for all these great photos, but about a handful of them I got from R&R.

The R&R scene is pretty different than anything I have been to in Utah. There was an open bar, DJ, ghostbusters...I guess it is true what they say, California DOES know how to party.

There was such a crazy turn out that people were lined up down the street and sidewalk. They had to stop letting people in. The fire marshal eventually had to shut it down an hour and a half before closing.

It was fun to watch people look and take pics of my painting.

We stayed in a cute Japenese hotel in little Tokyo. It's near the artist district so we were able to just walk to the gallery.
