Classic Monster Art Show

This is the latest group show I was in at The Blonde Grizzly in SLC. I love these new "themed-pop-cultural-type" shows. It is so fun to give a bunch of artists a subject and see all the different interpretations they come up with. Its almost like having art home work again. This show was in Oct and based on classic monsters.
Did I mention how much I love this new gallery? The
Blonde Grizzly
is a store/gallery run by the very cool Caleb and Hillary Barney. I just got asked to do a
SOLO SHOW there in a few months.
I am so excited and have been painting up a storm building up a new body of work. It will be my first solo exhibition down town. SOOO excited!! Please, please mark your calendars and come check it out. I will give you a hug and a present!

M O A B

In Oct we went down to Moab for the weekend with some friends. We did some serious jeepin' and had a blast. It is such an amazing place, I don't know why we don't go more often. Nick took many great photos as usual so here is a small handful.

My Grizzly Man

My favorite thing was rockin' out in the jeep with my adorable Heather Mac.

Nick and Eric being silly. We made a music videa of them dancing in the back to "Real Wild Child" it was awesome.

Some super cute girls. Natalie, Kialei, and Sarah

Happy Halloween!

We kept very busy this Halloween. Jack had many different looks this year! He is just starting to have an ever changing opionion on what he would like to wear! We started out having him being Mario riding Yoshi. He then decided he liked Luigi more, then he just wanted to be a Yoshi the dinosaur. I drew the line when he wanted to be a robot! (Which lets face it, I was totally an inch away from doing that too, because it sounded like a fun project..)

Trouble was a hotdog -but the costume was impossible to keep on him!

All three of us dressed up as Mario, Luigi and Wario for the Hansens halloween party! Jack had such a fun time too! There were lots of other little kids dressed up, adorable halloween treats, games and chalk board pumpkins! Aubrey knows how to have a party!!

Nick's brother Shay and his girlfriend Brittney took all the nieces and nephews to the zoo on Halloween for some trick-or-treating! They are a very brave couple!! The kids had a great time, Shay and Brit are so super cute for doing that.
We had so much fun carving pumpkins! Jack kept singing happy birthday to them and blowing out the candles though haha.

It was super cold and rainy Halloween night so Jack just helped me pass out candy (since he had been trick-or-treating earlier that day at the zoo anyway). Then later we went to another Halloween party at Garret and Natalie Macfarland's house.

Jack as the original idea of Mario and Yoshi. He loved the mustache for 5 min then was just itching to get rid of it, so the look didn't last very long.

Jack being grouchy about the stache.

Nick and Jack at the Macfarland's halloween party as Alan and Carlos.

Caleb was the best batman ever! There were some other great costumes too - I wish we took more photos!!!

Fall Festivites

Black Island Farms

We always have so much fun at this place! We went with the Wood cousins this year and all the kids loved it! There are giant hay slides, corn mazes, bouncy house, farm animals, etc etc...

Fun Stuff
Some Halloween treats I made. Owl marshmallow suckers, carmel apples - and not pictured awesome sugar cookies that disapeared before they could be photographed....ooopppsss..

Jack and I had so much fun at the farmers market picking out pumpkins! He also helped me put up spider webs on the porch. This was such a fun year for us because Jack was so excited about everything.

Garnder Village!

Halloween Haunted Manor Gala

We went to a Halloween Gala this year! It was so fun. We have been to other fun galas before before but this was done so well! It was a charity event for alzheimers disease. The decor was so great, eerie lighting, swinging chandaliers, elaborate characters dressed as formal/zombie wear, fortune tellers, it was great. There was a silent aution, thriller performance, dinner, and Kimberly locke performance. We had an awesome time with all of Nick's work buddies and I hope we do it again!

Ready to party!

Brandon and Brandi all dolled up! I really wish we had more pics of everyone else in the group, they all looked so cute too :(
